Hey Everyone!

It’s quite sad to be saying goodbye to our volcanoes – we’ve had so much fun. Outside we’ve been working as scientists looking at things that fizz and pop: lemon and bicarbonate of soda, fizzing tablets and water and huge bubbles! We’ve also learnt about Pompeii and done some drama games and created our own volcanic soundscape.

We’ve been doing lots of maths outside this week in our teams. Counting each other and each other’s feet! The children were great at working together. In phonics we’ve learnt the sounds or (fork), ur (burp), ow (cow) and oi (coin).

Next week we’re going on a magical mystery tour to China to celebrate Chinese new year. Prepare yourselves for a fortnight of fiery dragons, brightly coloured lanterns and a feast of noodles and dumplings!

Have a good weekend!
